The Chatham-Kent Community Health Centres are proud to offer services for transgender adults in Chatham-Kent and surrounding areas. Transitioning support services are provided to adults 18 and older by Amy Serran, Nurse Practitioner. Services include assessment and diagnosis of gender dysphoria, individual support and treatment, managing common comorbid mental health conditions, and assessment and prescription of gender affirming hormones. In partnership with Windsor-Essex CHC we offer services for transgender children and youth in Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent and surrounding areas. Dr. Ian Johnston provides assessment and diagnosis of gender dysphoria, managing common comorbid mental health conditions, assessment for starting hormone blockers and affirming hormone therapy and prescription of hormones or blockers and monitoring of treatment.
