The Chatham-Kent Community Health Centres are governed by members of the community. Their knowledge and expertise ensure that our centres are providing services that meet the needs of our clients and the community.

  • Must be over 18 years of age and live in the Chatham-Kent area
  • Must support the CKCHC mission, vision and values and the Model of Health and Wellbeing

 What is the time commitment?

  • Volunteer 6-8 hours per month by attending one Board meeting per month and may also participate on a Board Committee
  • Board committees meet at least quarterly for 2-3 hours
  • Participate in Board education sessions or planning and decision-making sessions

Board Meetings

Meetings are held at 5:30 pm on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, unless otherwise notified.

    Eligibility Criteria and Conditions of Nomination:

    No person shall be qualified for election or appointment as a Director if he or she: is a member of the Professional Staff; is an employee of Chatham-Kent Community Health Centres; is under 18 years old; has been found under the Substitute Decisions Act, 1992 or under the Mental Health Act to be incapable of managing property; has been found to be incapable by any court in Canada or elsewhere; or has the status of bankrupt.
